2016 looks like a great year for bookworms. So many of my favourite authors are coming out with new books! My TBR list is really stacking up though … but I’m not even a teensy bit upset! Without further ado, here is my (short) list of books, that I can’t wait to read this year!
Passenger by Alexander Bracken
I am only getting through the Darkest Minds series (Never Fade, here I come!) but, I have to say that I really enjoy Bracken’s work. Her new novel has already been released at the time I am writing this post, and I have read several positive reviews. I hope it lives up to my expectations!
TWO Untitled Stand-alones by Stephanie Perkins
Stephanie Perkins is one of my favourite teen romance authors, and she’s coming out with a new book that will be sure to melt my heart. And the other one? It will be a horror novel!
I am super excited to see her experiment in this new genre.
Lady Midnight by Cassandra Clare
Erm, The Mortal Instruments. The Infernal Devices. Need I say more? Clare is coming out with another series set in the Shadowhunter universe, and I just know I will dive right into it. I’m eager to see how it will compare to the other books. The Infernal Devices is definitely my pick over the other, and it is one of my favourite series I have ever read. Though I have high expectations, I also have a feeling that it will not disappoint.
On another note, have you all seen the first episode of Shadowhunters?! What did you all think?
Furthermore by Tahereh Mafi
If you have not read The Juliette Chronicles, or more commonly known as The Shatter Me series, you need to go do so as soon as possible! I for one, really enjoyed the books, and am patiently waiting (not) until Mafi’s new novel is released.
