My very first Top Ten Tuesday post! 🙂 Here is my list of the day:
1. Legend by Marie Lu
This is the first book of a series that I just adore. The characters are amazing, the writing is beautiful, and the plot is oh so very intriguing. I have to say, it’s made it into my favourites.
2. Cinder by Marissa Meyer
This spin on Cinderella (and a couple of other fairy tales in the other books in the series) was fascinating to read. The story is so easy to get lost in, and the characters are so lovable.
3. Clockwork Angel by Cassandra Clare
I love, love, love this book so much (all three ‘loves’ are necessary). I’ll read anything and everything that has to do with the Shadowhunter world, and I’ll have to admit, I like this series better than the Mortal Instruments. A MUST read.
4. The Host by Stephanie Meyer
I read this a long time ago, and remember just absolutely loving it. The storyline is very unique, and I don’t think I’ve read anything quite like it. I’m so upset that she’s not writing the sequel for this. 😦
5. Looking for Alaska by John Green
This was probably the only one of his books that I read without taking a month long break in between. Unlike the others, I found the characters in this story, and the story itself, riveting. It also reminded me of Perks of being a Wallflower, which I enjoyed.
6. White Hot Kiss by Jennifer L. Armentrout
I just absolutely fell in love with this romantic read! It’s cute, it’s funny, and it’s written by Jennifer L. Armentrout — need I say more? When it was first recommended to me, I was a bit off-putted by the title, but you’ll have to read it to understand it. 🙂
7. Wait for You by J. Lynn
This book is my introduction to the new adult genre. I loved the characters!
8. The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight by Jennifer E. Smith
I love reading romance novels, cliché or not, and out of several of them, this remained the most memorable. I just really enjoyed the story.
9. Hush, Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick
Other than Angelfall, I think this is probably the only series featuring fallen angels, that I’ve read and liked. The story and setting totally gave me a Twilight-esque feel.
10. Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi
I enjoyed this book (and the others in the series) immensely. It sent my emotions awry, but it was a story I could not put down. Definitely one of my favourites.
