I didn’t read many of the books I planned to read this year, but I’m determined to get through this list at the very least in 2017! Here are just some of the books I’d like to check off my TBR. Also, I’m not 100% sure whether I interpreted the prompt correctly, so bear with me if I’m wrong.
This book (or series, rather) is all the hype EVERYWHERE. It feels like everyone but me has read Sarah J. Maas. The majority of people who have read this have only positive things to say, but there are a few of my friends who don’t praise this book that highly. Still, I’m excited to what happens!
Another Sarah J. Maas book series, that has been heavily recommended to me (and that I’ve held off reading due to lack of time). But seriously, from what I’ve been hearing, this book requires great emotional investment, and I’m not prepared to give myself over so close to exam season.
Immediately after reading the currently published books in the To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before series, I discovered that there was a third book, and I FREAKED, because I’m in LOVE with the series thus far, and thought it was a duology this whole time! I have to wait until April though, for this concluding book, and I don’t know if I can wait that long! >.<
Haven’t read any Stephanie Meyer since The Host years ago (still upset that there’s no sequel)! I’m excited to see how she has grown as a writer since her Twilight days.
I love this series, but because I waited way too long to begin reading Winter, the crave to finish this adventure with Cinder and co., fizzled out. I have blanks in the plot and it frustrates me to not be able to fully connect with the characters like I used to. Does this happen to any of you guys? Does ANYONE ELSE share this struggle with me?
Is anyone else upset that The Cursed Child and Fantastic Beasts are differently sized? I’ve been putting off buying this book just because of that! Anyways, I’ve yet to watch the movie, and I kind of don’t want to watch it until I’ve finished the book, so I’ll probably stream it online when I finish the reading. (Hopefully soon!)
A retelling of the classic Alice in Wonderland. I just hear the most fantastic things about this book. I finally got a hold of the book from the library, but I just didn’t have the time to read it and I had to return it. 😦
As far as synopses go, the summary for this book is far up there. It sounds super mysterious without being too vague, and informative without being too revealing. I am reminiscent of my younger self, browsing the shelves and picking up whatever I though was cool, and not what has been hyped up on the internet (not that The Night Circus hasn’t been recommended to me, but you know what I mean).
JLA is one of my favourite authors ever, and I don’t think I’ve read a book of hers since Be with Me (which was a while back), so I’m hoping to get to this soon.
Another book I told myself I would read before the movie came out, and another book I didn’t make time to read. I’ve been on a see-saw lately, jumping between wanting to read something super gushy and romantic, and something scary. Blehhh. ← The sound I make because I have so many books to read and yet I’m not able to decide what to read.
